Anna Ruff’s speech during AXIS Dental Group 29th Anniversary Celebrations.
“And here I am celebrating my 20th Year at AXIS Dental. I thought I would take this opportunity to share what this journey has meant for me…
First of all I feel very privileged to say that I have been apart of this amazing team for 20 years! I started this journey in 1995 as a graduate of George Brown College where I was then hired at Dr. Papneja & Associates to assist Dr. Bhalla and do rebooks full time! In between then and now, I guess you can say that I have done a whole lot of learning and growing… I went on to work as a full time FDA only to then head back to school for Hygiene… that didn’t keep me away… I returned to join the team again as a full time dental hygienist in 1997! In 2005 I moved to London Ontario with my family (2 kids at the time) for 3 and half years….. and that still did not keep me away…I made the commute to continue working here, focused on helping coordinate the practice! Moved back in 2009 only to go on Maternity Leave with my 3rd child… made it back to work even after that! (TBT: with the help of a Nanny!)
So what has kept me coming back all these years?
Through the many years, I have witnessed and been a part of many changes, challenges, celebrations, made friendships, lost some tragically, failed at some things, succeeded at others …. so what is it?
It boiled down to one main thing… “commitment”. You cannot make a real commitment unless you accept that it is a choice that you keep making again and again and again…. You either do or you don’t… there is no in-between!
Through out my journey there has been one constant that never wavered in believing in me… I learned what commitment really was because of it. That constant is Terry! His vision for the practice and passion for education & life and ALWAYS making and keeping commitments… He has kept this practice always rising above the rest and helping me and others to continually grow (personally & professionally)!
Many others have continued along this amazing journey and reap the same learnings as I…they have also chosen “commitment” …from new comers to some that have been here 5, 10, 20 and 25+ years! They have all made the same choice that I continually make!
Today is a celebration to congratulate Terry & Nimmi on 29 successful years, to celebrate Terry’s vision, leadership & accomplishments and to celebrate each and everyone of you! Your commitment makes a difference!
…so congratulations to all, as I feel very blessed to be working along side each of you!”
