Dental Implants replace damaged or missing teeth with artificial teeth that behave like your natural teeth in terms of smiling, speaking and eating. Dental Implant surgery is a procedure that replaces tooth roots with titanium metal screw-like posts.
A natural smile allows you to talk, smile and laugh with confidence – and that affects how you feel about yourself, both personally and professionally. Today’s dental implants can offer replacement teeth that look and feel like your own. You may forget you ever lost a tooth! Dental implants may be the answer if you want a natural-looking, comfortable and permanent replacement for missing teeth.
Dental implants have helped hundreds of thousands of people and with proper care, implants can last a lifetime. Whether you’re missing a single tooth or need a complete set of teeth, talk with us about the benefits of dental implants.

What Happens During Dental Implant Treatment?
- Dental Implant treatment is usually performed by a general dentist, oral surgeon, prosthodontist, periodontist or a team of these doctors. We have everyone here, under one roof. There’s no need to go anywhere else.
- To create the best treatment plan for you, a medical and dental history is completed along with a thorough oral examination and low-radiation x-rays.
- At this point, we take the time to address any fear or anxiety concerns you may have, as well anticipated pain. Your comfort during the dental implant procedure is assured. We will discuss options for Sedation (Sleep) Dentistry so you will be totally relaxed and comfortable during your dental implant treatment.
- During the dental implant procedure, a member of your implant dentistry team surgically places the implant in the jaw with the top of the implant just above the top of the bone.
- Generally, from three to six months is allowed for the bone tissue to grow around the implant and hold it securely in place.
- Immediately after surgery we will give you specific post-surgical instructions to assure the best possible healing. We may also prescribe pain medication and in some cases antibiotics to aid in the healing process and help alleviate any discomfort.
- At the same time, you may be fitted with temporary dentures or natural-looking teeth to help you function as normally as possible. You will need to follow important dietary and oral hygiene instructions.
- Once the jawbone has healed around the implant, a small post is attached to each implant. The post protrudes through the gumline and serves as an anchor for the replacement tooth.
