Children Dentist: Making Dental Visits a Positive Experience For Kids
We understand that going to the dentist for the first time can be a scary proposition for some children. It’s because of this and our commitment to children’s dentistry that we begin the experience with a “fun visit” where we introduce your child to the AXIS Dental Group professionals in a casual manner.
We provide a calm and relaxing playroom where children can enjoy reading, watching TV or playing video games while they become comfortable with their surroundings. When it’s time for their dental visit, they can watch their favourite channel on our ceiling televisions while they lie back in the chair. How great is that?
Children love technology. We have special intra-oral and extra-oral cameras that take pictures of the inside and outside of their mouths. These cameras will provide a visual of their face and teeth and confirm any problems or cavities the dentist may have detected.
After their cleaning, kids are rewarded with a loot bag containing a toothbrush, floss, picture, report card, and sticker. A helium balloon is often the highlight of the day as “Windy the Clown” blows up their favourite colour!
